Reiki Drum Practitioner Training in person in Worcester
The prerequisite for this course is Usui Reiki Level 2 (or above) training.
I will be teaching Reiki Drum professional practitioner training, over 2 days – non-consecutive, usually a week or two apart so there is some space to practice in between. (This course can also be taught over 4 half-days or shorter sessions, 2 hours over 6 weekly sessions, to suit individual needs.)
The exchange for this training is £350 (for the two-day course). It will usually be taught in small groups of 2 or 3 people at a time.
Please note, for professional practitioner level, the successful completion of this training will require submitting 6 case studies, consisting of 4 treatments per case study. There are 3 main techniques taught at this level, each technique will require 2 individual case studies and each case study needs to include 4 sessions per study – 24 sessions in total. (Full details and case study forms are provided. Reiki drum can be given at a distance, so some of the case studies can be done via zoom etc. Case studies must be typed and there is a year to complete them if necessary! Student insurance specifically for Reiki Drum is recognised by insurers such as Balens).
Reiki Drum uses advanced Shamanic techniques and is a professional practitioner training, so it is necessary to gain experience of and confidence in working with individuals in this way before qualification. Becoming a professional Reiki Drum practitioner also requires a commitment to continued self-work, and to be willing to be diligent in your self-preparation before your client sessions.

Reiki Drum is recognised as a complementary therapy in its own right by holistic therapy insurers and organisations like the Complementary Medical Association.
The course includes 2 manuals and certification (on completion of the case studies) as well as a traditional Japanese-style meditative attunement. You will receive the original Reiki Drum Technique manual and workbook by Sarah Gregg (who brought Reiki Drum to the UK) and my own additional, complementary booklet that goes into the Shamanic view, non-duality, in depth information for working with the symbols within the three energy centres in the body, creating inner sacred groves and pathways for journeying, and some of my own meditations and drumming techniques as well as suggestions working with local spirits of place, plants, stones etc and the benefits of using handmade wooden beaters.
This training requires you to have your own medicine-style frame drum with a handle at the back. If you are looking for a handmade, hide drum, I highly recommend Sally Smiles, a local drum maker, drum birthing facilitator and shamanic practitioner. If you are looking for a therapeutic drum for use in all weathers, I recommend the 16″ Remo Buffalo drum and especially the Remo Bass Drum which has a beautiful and very therapeutic low resonance. I would advise to have a Remo drum in addition to a hide drum for professional practice, as they can be used in all weathers/temperatures and never lose their tone.
